The gardens are lush with a variety of fruit trees. There is a mango tree, a few papaya trees, an avocado tree, some coconut trees (excellent water), some lime trees, a guanabana (soursop) tree, and a cashew apple tree. We harvest the cashew apples and make a divine juice packed with Vitamin-C. Furthermore,we save and harvest the cashew nuts, roasting, cracking, then roasting. They are absolutely delicious and 100% organic.
We are big readers and are happy to say that we have a book exchange. To travel and to read to kids is a life changing experience so we offer this opportunity to travelers entering Indra Inn’s doors here in Playa Grande, Costa Rica.
We bought a run down, abandoned property in an incredible location in 2012. Subsequently we performed an intense remodel, in which we built a bar. After having the bar for 4 years and 42 live shows, we closed the bar and built more rooms. This is the interior the garden that the three new rooms are centered and balanced around.
We take pride in our gardens and hope to display some of the most beautiful flora that Guanacaste has to offer. It is a dry forest so most native plants can survive and thrive during hot, dry times. Indra Inn is surrounded by hibiscus which brings a lot of hummingbirds. There is also a frontier of bougainvillea, which blooms a beautiful pink during the summer.
Playa Grande is a very relaxed beach town and Indra Inn exemplifies that with hammocks strung up all over the property. We encourage you to relax and unwind in one of these hammocks and breath in the rhythm of the Pacific Ocean. We want your stay at Indra Inn to be the most relaxing place you could imagine.
