Leatherback Turtle Nesting

Indra Inn is located in the Leatherback Turtle National Park due to the fact that every October until March, Leatherback Turtles come to nest.  Leatherback turtles, (Las Baulas) are the largest sea turtle to nest in the Pacific.  They can be up to 2.5 meters long, weigh one ton, and nest up to 80 eggs.  They can visit up to 10 times between October and March.

The National Park offers night tours to see the nesting Leatherback turtles.  People have described the experience as similar to seeing a dinosaur.  But you have to remember that it’s nature and they might not nest every night.  The tour only costs money if you see a turtle.  No turtle, you don’t have to pay.
