Hoffmann’s Woodpecker

The Hoffmann’s Woodpecker is unique in being the only dry forest species endemic to the region , it’s range extends from southern Honduras to central Costa Rica.

Pale-billed Woodpecker

The Pale-billed Woodpecker are less commom than other woodpeckers. You’ll definitely hear them first as they peck away at wood posts and trees. Very beautiful bird.

Other Woodpeckers

There are other woodpeckers in Playa Grande as well, such as the Lineated Woodpecker and the Chestnut-colored Woodpecker.
