I stayed at the Indra for the first time In January and then came back in August to stay for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it. The owners made me feel so welcome, the location was amazing (Playa Grande has pretty remarkable surf and sunrise/sets) and the accommodation had everything I needed (yay for A/C and breakfasts included). Super easy to get to and from the Liberia airport (about 1h30 with both the taxi and shuttle). I used the communal kitchen a lot so that was a great to have. In terms of surf, even if there wasn’t always a great swell there was always waves which was perfect. When the tides out, there are some really beautiful (more secluded) beaches to explore up the coast. I think anyone who has stayed with Matt, Natalia and their 4 year old, Dante, understands how easily you fall into a more relaxed lifestyle when you’re there. Overall the Indra was a little gem in one of my favourite places in Costa Rica, away from the masses and buildings that crowd Tamarindo – missing it already!
